Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Westbound Closure – October 2-5 2026
We are excited for the completion of the new tunnel and the progress being made in our region, we want to make sure you have the most up-to-date information regarding a significant traffic change that will be in effect during race weekend.
Because the race start and finish line is located at the Hampton Coliseum, this closure will impact travel for participants, especially those coming from the Southside (Norfolk/Virginia Beach area)
If you are local to the Hampton area or staying on the Peninsula side, you will not be affected by this closure. For those traveling from the Southside, we recommend leaving earlier than planned and checking VDOT’s 511 Virginia for live updates before you depart .
